sharon swan, Breast Cancer - Self Portrait (PEOPLE 2024)

In 2015 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in my left breast and had a partial mastectomy. In March 2024 I was diagnosed with a different type of breast cancer in my right breast. I wanted to capture my breasts before they were removed. This was the start of a series, documenting my journey and my grief. All photos were taken with 0ne strip box and a remote trigger. the poses created themselves, depending on my emotion at the time.
