Richard Carlisle, Bring them here (Single Shot 2019)

on the 3rd of August in Sydney a refugee rally was held with the main message the it had #sixyearstoolong and that we should bring the refugees here. This was my first attempt at photographing a protest and I arrived early. I was loitering with the crowd waiting for the kick off, and spotted this women holding the sign around the edge of the protest area, she had an expressive face that I felt matched the feeling of the protest.
