Jennifer Sheehan, Caught in mornings first light (SINGLE SHOT 2024)

There is a pond with some ducks next to a walking track I use. There is nothing interesting about this pond or the ducks that would inspire a picture to be taken. The pond, mostly covered by tall reeds, the ducks plain and uninteresting, or so I’ve always thought. Instead of exposing for the available light to take, what would have been a boring image, I waiting until the sun rose high enough to shine on the duck, and when the light is at the right angle, a boring duck can become the belle of the pond.
