Nicholas Smith, Cave Cosmos @ Crescent (Single Shot 2021)

Cave Cosmos @ Crescent was taken in June 2021. The cave at Crescent Head is accessible during low tide and was quite the adventure to travel from Brisbane to Crescent Head to arrive at low tide during the day - locate the cave - then await the night sky to arrive when I would again enter the cave at low tide around 930pm at night - which makes for a much more interesting entry in the night sky only traversing down 50 metres of steep embankment some might describe as a cliff climb to the sea level! It was also quite cool as the photo was taken in winter on the waters edge with the cool ocean chill pushing onshore. The Milky Way is just one of many galaxies. It is a barred spiral galaxy with an estimated visible diameter of 100,000–200,000 light-years which is the distance felt between us and the rest of world during covid.
