Fransiscus Asisi Herry, Celestial Glow over Rocky Shores (LANDSCAPE 2024)
Capturing the stunning display of the Aurora Australis at my favorite photography spots has always been my dream. However, these locations are rugged and isolated, requiring preparation and a good understanding of current weather conditions, including wind speed, swells, and tides. Few people are willing to venture into these remote areas at night, as the trails are not an easy stroll. This adds a sense of adventure, but also brings feelings of loneliness, isolation, and self-doubt. But when the auroras light up the sky with vivid hues of red, pink, yellow and green, blending seamlessly with the starry night, all the negative emotions fade away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of awe and reverence. My persistence and luck gave me the opportunity to witness a few of the most powerful aurora storms in my home state of Victoria.
