Amanda Clarke, Daffodil Day Night (LANDSCAPE 2022)
For all that cancer takes, Daffodil Day gives us hope. The Daffodil Day Appeal is Cancer Council’s most iconic and much-loved fundraising campaign. In 2021, houses were growing Daffodil Day to raise awareness and funds for life-saving cancer research; but it looked a little different to previous years. Despite a global pandemic and the need for many to isolate, Australians thought of novel ways to show their commitment to a cancer free future. Some grew daffodils on their front lawn for all to see in an effort to brighten up homes, offices or workplaces; and to join the growing movement to create change in the lives of people impacted by cancer.
