Marie Lowery, Dance of the Spider Orchids (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)
Sitting on top of their tall thin stems, these varied Spider Orchid species dance about, even in the gentlest breeze. They do a marvellous job in mimicking their spider namesakes. Alluring intricate flowers, coax many pollinators passing by, akin to the web of their spidery friends. They mesmerise and draw us in, focusing our entire being into their exotic dance. How totally unique is our Australian native flora.
