PETER BARRIEN, Decisive moments at Punakha Tshechu (Travel 2017)
In late 2016 I travelled to Bhutan to photograph the people of this unique culture. These images are part of a series captured at the Punakha Tshechu or festival, at around lunchtime when the monks were distributing bowls of food to the people attending. The key themes were family, and that first moment when an individual being photographed meets me, the photographer.
