Thomas Lisson, Down But Not Out (PEOPLE 2024)

Portrait of homeless man Tim. I met Tim whilst photographing street photography in Sydney CBD. Tim had said he was down on his luck living on the streets for several months however he was not giving up on trying to get back off the streets. I was mesmerised when I saw Tim going about his business in the shadows, with a beam of sunlight peaking though the pillars of a building under construction which illuminated Tim from the surroundings he called his home, Tim had a rough, rugged and honest look with contrasting blue eyes that stared though the camera.
