brodie knox, Earth's Reflection (Landscape 2021)
The scenes in the photograph’s depict vast landscapes which reflect the natural beauty of our earth. As we see a lone native Kahikatea tree thriving out in the depths of a freshwater New Zealand lake, some Matagouri tree branches decay at the bottom of the lake, constantly battered and ever changing rocky cliff faces, a rusting old ship wreck being taken by nature and turned back into its original formation. The salty water molecules combining with other elements are forming acids which are causing metal to be exposed and help nature bring this old ship down and turn it back into its original form.
