Lex Lucas, Emotion - Philip (PEOPLE 2023)

In this collaborative photoshoot with Philip, i was keen to move away from the usual static poses and contained emotion of a standard portraiture session. Instead, I wanted to capture raw emotion - with the energy that comes from within. With a simple black background and minimal lighting - and the use slow shutter speed and various angles - I was able to capture some of the emotions that we usually keep buried inside ourselves.
