Matt Ramsay, Fairy Wren Flutter (Wildlife and Animal 2019)

Although this Male Superb Fairy Wren wasn't exactly dead still, he stayed in the one spot long enough for me to fire off some shots. For a few moments he danced around on the branch watching out for mates and fanning out his tail, perhaps trying to impress someone! I really loved the contrast between the colour of the Wren's breeding plumage against the yellow background.
