Deborah Cummings, Feathering the Nest (ANIMAL & NATURE 2022)

These great egrets are building their nest. I used this photos as the male was repeatedly flying off to find fresh sticks to add to their nest. So he was very devoted to his "girl". I feel there is an intimacy to these photos and the last photo it seems to me that she is thanking him for his efforts.
