Matt Ramsay, Field of Ferns (Landscape 2019)

This was a beautiful foggy morning after some rain, it wasn't quite my destination but driving past this field I knew I had to stop and photograph it. The sun trying to break through the fog, the ferns in the foreground and then the trees, the single tree in the middle but the others around just as important, it made for a beautiful moment. I often pass by places I think i should stop and capture but rarely do, this spontaneity reminded me of not being so focused on the destination but to also embrace the journey and the process as well.
