Lana Broadfoot, First Studio Shoot Halloween 2022 (PEOPLE 2023)
Portfolio Summary: First Studio Halloween Shoot In my first studio Halloween shoot, I embarked on a creative journey filled with enchantment and whimsy. The primary inspiration behind this project was to transform my younger sister into the protagonist of a spooky fairytale – a princess in the waiting room of a haunted castle. Convinced by the magic of chocolates and the promise of a shopping spree, she graciously agreed to be my muse for the day. The Concept: The concept of the shoot was to merge the worlds of elegance and eerie in a single frame. I envisioned my sister as a princess who, by some enchantment, had found herself in the waiting room of a mysterious castle. Her costume was a beautiful red gown that stood in contrast to the setting, creating a juxtaposition of beauty and mystery. My sister's transformation was stunning, and I was aiming to exude a sense of curiosity and wonder, making the viewer feel as though they had stepped into this magical world. Preparation: I asked her to wear my formal gown to evoke a sense of elegance. To set the spooky atmosphere, I also carefully selected props such as antique furniture and tried to paint a full moon as a backdrop. Posing and Expression: Guiding my sister through the shoot, I focused on capturing her expressions and poses that conveyed the feeling of both vulnerability and royalty. She effortlessly embodied the role, striking a balance between looking like a lost princess and a royal awaiting her next adventure. Editing: In the post-production phase, I edited her dress to ensure that certain areas were modestly covered. Given that she is my younger sister, I felt it was important to maintain a sense of elegance by making slight touch-ups to ensure her comfort and to preserve the overall aesthetic.
