Carol Elvin, Gesture (B&W 2024)

This sculpture called “Perception and Reality” by Andrew Rogers is Australia’s largest cast figurative bronze sculpture at 7.5 metres and weighs 3.8 tons. Sitting in an enclosed courtyard within Canberra’s Airport it is a magnificent juxtaposition of textured female curves against the buildings glass façade. Her imploring gesture sends a universal message.
