Peter Ansell, Giant Cuttlefish Spawning (Wildlife and Animal 2017)
Each year along the coast of South Australia the Giant Cuttlefish come to shore to mate. Competition for breading rights is fierce with males outnumbering females 12 to 1. Big males flash warning colours at rivals and put mesmerising colour displays for females, while smaller males are forced to disguise themselves to try and sneak around around and find a mate.
