Robyn Elliott, Gotcha (Animal & Nature 2021)

I was walking in my favourite nature spot, when this Grey Shrikethrush landed on the path in front of me. I proceeded to take some pictures, as i don't see this species of bird very often, when this amazing action happened. I wasn't quite ready for the jump so shutter speed was a touch too slow and it nearly moved out of my frame. Overall I feel privileged to have witnessed this. I didn't even notice the grasshopper until the bird jumped in the air and caught it.
