Rachel Kneubuhler, Green ants (Animal & Nature 2021)
Green ants are probably not the most popular insect in the garden and most gardeners that have them will more then likely have at least one story to tell you about the time they accidentally bumped into one of their nests as this is an experience you tend to remember as they are usually very quick to go into attack mode when this happens. But if you keep a safe distance away from them they can be fascinating little creatures to watch. You can often find solo ants just doing their own thing but they take team work to the next level when it comes to building and repairing their nests.
