Ronald Fritz, Hanoi Flag lowering ceremony (TRAVEL 2022)

The flag lowering ceremony is celebrated at 9:00 PM every evening at Ba Dinh Square in front of Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. I asked the police if I can use flash during the ceremony and they say yes. To my surprise, before the ceremony stat, all the time, the police ask the people to move backward far away from the flag, around 50 meters, so flash was out of question. At the end, I did all the shots handheld at ISO 2000, f6.3 and 1/20 or 1/15 sec.
