Keith Horton, Hibiscus harlequin bugs (September theme: Blue)
Tectocoris diophthalmus, commonly known as the Hibiscus Harlequin Bug, is a brightly coloured shield-shaped bug with a metallic sheen that is common in Eastern Australia, New Guinea and several Pacific Islands. These ones were photographed in my back garden in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.
