Thomas Carter, Iconic Tasmania (June theme: Australian Landscape)
I love being in nature and this place is beautiful. Stunning views no matter the starting point. Personally, I enjoy visiting Cradle Mountain just before the heavy dumps of snow. During this time, the native tussock grasses are coloured burnt umber and mustard yellow. These colours contrast with the dull greys of the dolerite and congealed basalt lava. The result is a beautifully raw and rugged landscape.
