Kylie Geddes, Just Before Dawn (LANDSCAPE 2020)

I like to look at the headland at first light. I like its overall impression, its solidity and strength, its friendly darkness. It's just a lie though as even the tiniest hint of dawn reveals its fragility, its cracks and clefts and crumbling texture. When dawn breaks that's when I like to go home taking the headland's pretence with me before it fades away completely.
