Andy Bennett, Kayaking Katherine (TRAVEL 2020)

Nitmiluk National Park, on Jawoyn land near Katherine in the NT, is one of my favourite places on the planet. The Katherine River has carved up the hills to produce a string of gorges navigable by kayak and other craft. The sheer cliffs towering way above the kayaks remind us that nature dominates this place, not us. The colours of the rocks, the plants, the water and the sand are a dream come true.
