Heather Mcneice, King Penguin Chicks of South Georgia (Animal & Nature 2021)

South Georgia is home to huge colonies of king penguins. The chicks stand out from the crowd with their fluffy brown down and often huddle together in a 'creche' to keep warm. They rely on their parents to feed them for over a year, before they are ready to go to sea. In this portfolio, the wet and bedraggled chick may have been a little too keen to hot the ocean.
