Three friends: one local, two visitors. And James Turrell. Turrell’s installation ‘Within Without’ is a much-photographed feature of the National Gallery of Australia, and rightly so. But even as a local who goes there often, I don’t think I have ever witnessed such harmony between the work and the people within it.
