Caroline Dawson, Luna's Playful Charms (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)

Luna, our cheeky and chatty 6-year-old Australian Humpback Dolphin, never misses a chance to impress at the Wild Dolphin Feeding Centre in Tin Can Bay, Queensland. In this sequence, Luna delights visitors by showcasing his playful side. Whether it’s balancing a mangrove pod or a twig on his rostrum, Luna knows his tricks earn him a fish as a reward. His antics, from proudly displaying his ‘gifts’ to lying at the water’s edge in patient anticipation, highlight his mischievous and lovable personality. Luna’s charm shines through as he interacts with us volunteers and patrons, in this unique dolphin ‘gift-giving’ ritual
