Paul Jopson, Marine Park first and last hour... (Landscape 2021)
Some times one gets to witness pure beauty, and to capture it makes the uncomfortable nights sleep on a sandbank in a marine park near Bribie Island 1.5 hours north of Brisbane. The first capture before the sunrise was full of red clouds reflecting on the still water with splashes of of blue. Then the sun starts to appear I move 3 metres to my right to view what appears to be a cloud shaped as a whales tail shining over the marine park. This cloud is over the back where Morton Bay is one of the main whale watching areas in these parts. Prior to this sunrise I paddle my kayak to a remote shelf inside the park to capture these random mangroves growing and witnessed this amazing sunset. East v West in 2 wonderful hours.
