Brian Ellwood, Menindee - Planted (SINGLE SHOT 2022)

In December 2021 while on a trip to western NSW I visited Menindee Lakes. I took an early morning helicopter flight over the lakes and surrounding country. This particular image presented itself to me and I was struck by the symmetry and colour tones. It is actually a field of melons with a travelling irrigator moving across the diagonal, the soil on one side dry and on the other side wet.
