Mark Clifford, Obsolete (Single Shot 2021)

10 minutes outside of Snowtown, SA is the Snowtown Wind Farm. Residing in a field in the metaphorical (and almost literal) shadows of these massive wind turbines is an old, dilapidated, out-of-use windmill, sitting there as a reminder of where we once were and how far we've come with technology and making use of the Earth's natural resources to ensure ourselves for a better tomorrow. The sombre lighting of the evening sun behind the hills as it sets on the age of old technology, while still highlighting the wind turbines in the background as a way forward really sets the mood and maybe in some ways elicits nostalgia for just how fast technology has evolved
