Mark Wright, On the edge of the world (SINGLE SHOT 2023)

This young White-bellied Sea Eagle has spent its entire life in the nest, but is getting curious about the world beyond. It has acquired its initial flight feathers and its wings are getting a workout in the routine pre-flight checks. The Sea Eagle family occupies a former Black-Necked Stork (Jabiru) nest, where the impressive structure cuts a wine glass-shaped silhouette in the morning sun.
