Bianca Vitale, On the edge of the world (AERIAL 2024)

Pictured at bird's eye view off an glacier in the Arctic during spring time, this is an angle that is never seen by humans, in a landscape that feels almost out of this world. Here you can see the many elements of the glacier, the soft edges and patterns you would not expect, contrasted with the sharp shards of ice. The textures are unbelievable, as well as this history knowing that it has taken 100s of years to form like this. More and more ice comes crashing into the ocean every year as our earth gets warmer, and magical places like this fundamentally change as the Arctic faces more and more threats to it's precious ecosystems.
