Damian Aimers, Open and Closed 2017 (Landscape 2017)
I took every opportunity to shoot specific locations for their ruggedness. I wanted to find locations and times where the contrast between rough and soft mixed well. Standing in the heat, the cold, the rain or the flies to get the shot you envision is not a burden. Being there is a blessing. The First is West Island shot from along Petrel Cove in South Australia during sunset. Then Simpsons Gap, West MacDonnell Ranges, Northern Territory. The old Car is in the middle of bush not far from Alice Springs, Northern Territory. The last is the famed Angkerle or Standley Chasm also in the Red Center of the Northern Territory.
