Kathy Brown, Out and About (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)
Often on my short trips out west i always hope to see emu's with chicks and possibly have the chance to photograph them but they are very shy and quite elusive, so i was quite excited to see these wonderful babies wander through our remote camp spot with their dad and come by quite close curiously exploring. Being the only couple there, they did not see us much to my delight, so we could just sit and watch these fascinating birds for about 15 minutes as they wandered closely by. The colours were amazing with lovely contrast between their white stripes, colourful paper daises and red dirt. The gorgeous chicks were very entertaining! Captured in Dry Tank Campground, Gundabooka National Park, Bourke NSW.
