Carole Mills Noronha, Pashmina goat herders, Korzok. (Travel 2019)

Not too far from Tsomoriri lake lives a family of Changpa pastoralists who have adapted to the harsh and high altitude of this Himalayan landscape. This family have a large herd of Pashmina goats. The goats are milked and traditional butter tea is made to welcome us into their home. The goats are kept for their fine Pashmina wool. This family has been living this way for generations. A difficult life for these gentle people.
