Christine Goerner, Pelicans at Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre (AERIAL 2022)
Pelicans wade in the shallow waters of this unusually flooded salt lake. Heavy desert rains are the reason the lake has come to life with flora and fauna, including water birds. The intricate patterns of their criss-crossed tracks and the textural salt encrusted water’s edge are revealed from this birds-eye view.
