Michael Stanborough, People (PEOPLE 2024)

These were all taken on the same night in Melbourne. There was a photo exhibition at Federation Square and those striking images of African women make for a whole other layer of interest in three of my photos. The final shot is looking away from the photos of the exhibition, through the family, towards Flinders Street Station. I like the story that is told about the people by looking over their shoulders and seeing what they see, rather than simply seeing their faces.
