Lea Scaddan, Rainbow Bee-eaters (Wildlife and Animal 2018)
Rainbow Bee-eaters migrate to Perth area from northern WA each summer. They are fascinating to watch with their acrobatic flights, catching insects mid-air, bashing bees on branches to remove the stings before eating them and digging burrows to create nests. I love listening to their distinctive repetitive trill calls.
