David Ridgers, Regeneration Burn (LANDSCAPE 2024)

Photographed on a cold, overcast August day near Twizel New Zealand. The fires' intense heat generated numerous smoke vortices initially, followed by some beautiful distortion mirages as the flames subsided. A nearby sign indicted that it was a regeneration burn.
