Sanjeta Sridhar, Road to Recovery (Umbrella )

I was thinking about what I wanted to represent. I wanted to do something new so I decided that I would use glow sticks, bend them into an umbrella shape and make rain from the left overs. The purpose of the image is to show reluctance whilst also wanting to heal. Overcoming hardship takes forms in lots of shapes and sizes, however nowadays, especially after the last couple of years, mental illness has really taken a toll on a lot of individuals. The glowing umbrella is a way to guide the seeker towards protection and safety, even if it is temporary. The umbrella was made to protect as much as it can, during wet weather. Maybe one won't come out entirely dry, but they would sure as hell be glad they had an umbrella.
