Deborah Pearse, Run Forest Run (Wildlife and Animal 2017)
This young male Black-necked Stork, an endangered bird in NSW, is a random visitor to our wetlands. He and and a long term pair will occasionally spend a few days fishing for eels in the ponds, resting or, in the case of the adult pair, performing their beautiful, breeding rituals. They restore my soul every time I have the privilege of watching them.
