Paul Goh, Santi Ikto and the Milky Way (SINGLE SHOT 2023)

Santi Ikto is a giant wooden sculpture by renowned artist Thomas Dambo installed in Mandurah, Western Australia. When I first saw it in December 2022, I knew I had to return to photograph it during Milky Way season. With careful planning, I was able to return in May 2023 to capture the image I had in my mind: the Milky Way rising above Santi Ikto's uplifted arms. This image is a 6 frame stitched panorama - enabling more detail to be captured in both the sculpture and Milky Way.
