Vanessa Evans, Shades of Vanessa (PEOPLE 2024)

I started a self portraiture series in the Summer of 2024 for both professional and personal reasons. I wanted to practise my photography and build a portfolio, as well as express my thoughts and feelings on various topics and emotions. Photography and music are the best ways I can express those feelings, and since I can't make my own music, all of my images are inspired from songs I relate to and fit the concept of the shoot. Overall, I've learnt a lot about myself and have gained confidence both in front of and behind the camera.
