This red fox was taken very early in the morning along the river. Red foxes have big ears, bushy tail has a different variety of coat colours and patterns, with red to brown on top, and white to grey chin, chest and belly. Foxes are generally night time hunters, from dusk to dawn, and can travel up to 15 kms a night, then hide in logs or trees through the day. Foxes are considered a pest to farmers as they eat lambs, poultry and wildlife. This fox wasn't reasonably close to me, didn't appear to be very scared but was sitting behind a tree, then slowly came out, but he was watching me.
