Amanda Stuart, Songbirds of the Mornington Peninsula (Animal & Nature 2021)
Lockdown was a treat in many ways; I took to going for a walk early in the morning to see if I could photograph birds in their natural habitat. Good hearing was essential as it led me to the birds as they sang in the bush since many are well camouflaged and flit from branch to branch searching for food. These four birds I came to know well by their song.
