Jacob Dedman, Teen Emotions (PEOPLE 2020)
A teen can be the most emotional person you will meet. Everyday there are completely new feelings and expressions than the day before. Because of Covid 19 obviously I couldn’t use any of my mates as the subject, so I used the next best thing... myself! I set my camera up on our kitchen table and connected my remote cable release to the camera to enable me to take these shots. The background is a window blind. It was a bit hit and miss as I couldn’t guarantee the focus to be on my eyes in each photo... I must have taken at least 200 shots and I probably got 10 good ones out of these. I tried to look as genuine as I could and when I showed a friend one of the photos they were like "Wow you have really done an awesome job of capturing your emotions in that shot!". I too was and still am very pleased with the results that I got. -Jacob Dedman 15 years young... haha! ;) EXIF data: first photo: Canon 5D Mark IV with Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 VC G2 (AO25) @200mm, f/2.8, ISO 50, exposure time: 1/5000sec spot metering, off camera flash (Yongnuo 600EX RT II).
