Carl Nehore, Terrace (AERIAL 2024)

Indonesia utilizes the concept of terraced land for much of its agricultural purposes. From an aerial point of view the scale of farming practices can truly be appreciated. 1. Lingko 'spider' rice fields - these circular fields are found on Flores Island. Each 'slice' of the field belongs to a different family in the local village. 2. Classic slopping rice terraces - seen in the west of Flores. 3. Waturaka village - the vegetable crops on the terraced landscape of this local village. 4. Waikacura waterfall - this man made waterfall is located on Sumba Island. A little paradise in the middle of the local rice fields; its purpose is assistance in the water supply to the crops.
