Vanessa Thoms, The Bay (LANDSCAPE 2022)

The Bay is a small suburban town in South East Qld. These images were shot just on sunset to forecast the few features in the photos. The terrain was slippery and muddy. I was aiming for a minimalist approach to show the beauty in the area. The Bay is not a known beach for swimming and has had a reputation over the last 30 years for being a rough area. These images show the beauty that is found in parts of the Bay. The Bay is picking up and is finally getting the appeal and recognition it deserves after so many years of neglect.
