I believe that the most effective way to truly emphasize the beauty of a flower is to make it the sole focus of the image, isolating it from all of its surroundings, left with nothing but the unique details and complexities it obtains. The seemingly soft petals seem to whirl around the centre, accentuating the glory of its appearance, making for very pleasing image.
