Terence Tong, The Cuttlefish of Cabbage Tree Bay (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)

The wonderful world of the Australian Giant Cuttlefish. These cephalopods are incredibly unique in the animal kingdom with their advanced camouflage abilities, intelligence, and complex behaviours. They can change colour and texture to blend into their surroundings or communicate with other cuttlefish. Their eyes are also quite remarkable, capable of seeing polarized light and detecting a wider range of colours than humans can. It is always a unique experience when you come across one in the ocean!
